At a workshop hosted by Earth University, ATEC was honored as a leader in the organization and collection of trash and recyclables in Puerto Viejo, for over 25. Today, our office in Puerto Viejo is one of few Recycle collection centers becuase, keeping our town and our beaches clean has always been a top priority. We continue to work with our friends in Puerto Viejo, Cahuita, Cocles, Punta Uva, Manzanillo and the Municipalidad to reduce the amount of trash going to landfills, reuse what can be repurposed, and recycle as much as possible.
